We’re looking for an HR Business Partner to strike the right balance between supporting and challenging the business across UK departments like Group Operations and Technology. Great HR means keeping things simple and human while making a difference in working life. This full spectrum role translates business needs into effective HR practices aligned with objectives.
You’ll partner with senior leaders using a compassionate ear and pragmatic head for day-to-day operations and challenges like restructures and ER cases. Promote positive employee relations by coaching managers to handle complex situations fairly. Champion talent management and work closely with L&D and recruitment teams on succession plans.
The HR Generalist team acts as trusted partners, blending business and HR strategies with commercial insight and people focus. They upskill managers to foster inclusion, high-performance, and psychologically safe environments. You’ll contribute to this culture while challenging senior management on employee wellbeing and inclusivity.
Manage one HR Advisor, creating a positive environment focused on their development and acting as escalation point. Build trusted relationships across levels with strong communication and emotional intelligence. Demonstrate commitment to inclusive, high-performing teams where people feel valued and able to grow.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a HR generalist role with up-to-date knowledge of employment law and handling complex situations
- Experience of business transformation including change management and reorganisation
- Strong expertise in people challenges such as talent, performance and organisational change
- Strong business acumen with understanding of economic and industry trends impacting people strategy
- Effective and authentic communicator able to build trusted relationships across the organisation
- Ability to partner with senior leaders through listening, coaching and high emotional intelligence
- Flexible and agile approach to spot opportunities, risks and adapt to evolving needs
- Commitment to creating inclusive, high-performing teams where individuals feel supported and valued
