You'll build APIs powering IG Prime's connectivity with institutional clients and partners. Deliver resilient, high-performance trading and market data integrations critical to client experiences. Create a new suite of robust trading APIs in the cloud.

The FIX Integrations team within IG Prime maintains APIs across global markets. Work in cross-functional teams laser-focused on increasing active clients. Collaborate to meet evolving institutional trader demands for low-latency reliability.

Drive IG's institutional growth by onboarding clients and expanding markets. Design new API capabilities, ship features, and harden services. Your contributions enable sustainable growth and better client experiences.

Requirements

  • Around 5 years of Java development experience
  • Experience with developing external APIs
  • A continuous improvement mentality, experience with coding using AI
  • Identifies development risks and builds mitigations
  • Experience building resilient, high-performance trading APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud-based API development
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol integrations

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IG’s FIX APIs
  • Help deliver the IG Prime division’s product roadmap of new functionality
  • Provide technical support to IG’s clients and FIX Support teams when required
  • Monitor and manage FIX API services with a focus on performance, reliability, and resilience
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and deliver excellent service
  • Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform
