About this role
This 6-month contract role at Westpac supports the International AML team on a key regulatory project. The amended Australian AML/CTF Act expands extra-territorial obligations and enables consistent global AML/CTF risk management. The position leads regulatory and comparative analysis for locations including London, New York, Frankfurt, and Singapore.
You will partner with Country Financial Crime leaders to agree on the best operating model, either Country Addenda or Country AML/CTF Policy. Under the Country Addenda model, review global AML/CTF Policies against local laws to identify more stringent, different, or less-stringent requirements. Capture variations in a globally consistent Country Addenda template.
In the Country AML/CTF Policy model, compare new global standards against local policies to incorporate requirements. Consult with second and first lines of defence teams on proposed changes. Facilitate review and approval in line with global policy requirements.
