The role provides advisory and technical support on UK and EU regulatory requirements for Private Market activity. It supports expansion of private market strategies with strong regulatory alignment and commercial assistance across investments. Ideal for those with knowledge of MiFID II, AIFMD, and ESG.

Act as specialist advising Asset Management business and inhouse Fund Manager on regulatory matters. Proactively support governance processes and conduct risk management. Collaborate with First and Second Line Risk & Compliance teams, plus Group Risk and Legal.

Enhance procedures, deliver training, and maintain connections across teams. Gain exposure to other Asset Management areas while supporting senior compliance leadership on strategic initiatives. All roles open to part-time, job-share, and flexibility discussed in recruitment.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements related to asset management
  • Knowledge of MiFID II, AIFMD and ESG
  • Experience providing advisory support on regulatory requirements pertaining to Private Market activity
  • Ability to advise Asset Management business and inhouse Fund Manager on regulatory matters
  • Proven support in governance processes and conduct risk management
  • Collaboration with First and Second Line Risk & Compliance teams
  • Familiarity with compliance monitoring, testing, and risk assessment in asset management

Responsibilities

  • Act as a compliance partner to private markets teams, providing advice and guidance across the full investment lifecycle
  • Support the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks in line with new products, strategies, and business initiatives inclusive of cross-border activity
  • Advise on relevant UK and European regulatory requirements impacting private market activities
  • Identify, deliver and support targeted compliance training to business stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and management of the suite of compliance policies and procedures in line with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice
  • Review and advise on client facing materials and fund documentation
  • Conduct and contribute to ongoing monitoring and testing activities, helping identify and assess key compliance risks
  • Prepare clear and concise reporting for senior stakeholders
