Join M&G plc’s Global Financial Crime Compliance team to provide independent oversight, support, and challenge to M&G Life’s Financial Crime Risk Management Framework. This management level role executes activities to implement the group financial crime risk management framework within the UK Life business. You'll ensure robust controls amid ambitious growth and change.

The role involves day-to-day financial crime responsibilities like reviewing EWRA, oversight of risk decisioning, and producing MLRO reports. Additional duties include managing issue frameworks and audit actions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of group financial crime risk management framework implementation in UK Life business
  • Experience reviewing and challenging Enterprise Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA)
  • Familiarity with 1LoD Risk and Controls Self Assessments (RCSA)
  • Understanding of exemptions, waivers, and dispensations processes for financial crime standards
  • Proficiency in producing MLRO reports and regulatory submissions like REP-CRIM
  • Expertise in financial crime risk decisioning and appetite frameworks
  • Awareness of UK financial crime regulations and Annex I financial institutions registration

Responsibilities

  • Provide review and challenge of the consolidated Life EWRA and track progress against actions arising from the EWRA
  • Execute independent oversight over Life Client, IFA, and Other Third Party risk decisioning
  • Provide review and challenge of Life 1LoD Risk and Controls Self Assessment actions
  • Track and analyse exemptions and breaches, waivers and dispensations to Group Financial Crime Standards pertaining to Life
  • Produce UK Life MLRO reports and other Senior Management reporting for UK 2LoD
  • Support risk decisioning in Life as per M&G plc's Financial Crime Risk Appetite and Risk Decisioning Matrix as UK 2LoD
  • Provide advice and guidance to Life 1LoD teams on Group Financial Crime Policies and Standards and relevant UK regulations
  • Oversee adoption of the Group issue management framework for financial crime and the GRC tool (MetricStream)
