The Managing Director, Asset Management drives hands-on operational optimisation and transformation across the European asset portfolio, focusing on transport and rail infrastructure. This senior leadership role combines direct operational engagement with Board-level advisory.

The role involves spending meaningful time on-site at assets, working side-by-side with management teams. Review operational plans, interrogate KPIs, and accelerate performance improvement initiatives. Ensure initiatives move at pace without destabilising core operations.

Requirements

  • Proven operational transformation playbook in infrastructure assets
  • Deep experience in transport and rail infrastructure operations
  • Hands-on experience working side-by-side with asset management teams
  • Credibility to constructively challenge operational plans and KPIs
  • Board-level advisory experience on optimisation and cost reduction
  • Track record of accelerating performance improvements without destabilising operations
  • Expertise in European infrastructure asset portfolios

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute hands-on operational optimisation and transformation initiatives across European transport assets
  • Spend significant time at asset level, reviewing operational and business plans
  • Analyse and challenge KPIs, cost structures, and operational performance
  • Identify root causes of underperformance and opportunities for acceleration
  • Work side-by-side with management teams to execute improvement initiatives at pace
  • Advise Boards and senior stakeholders on operational optimisation, cost reduction, and transformation priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and cost optimisation
  • Provide active oversight of asset performance, including operational and financial metrics
