You’re an early-career Portfolio Manager with a solid foundation in investment management, supporting high net worth clients and working closely with Portfolio Managers. Now, you’re seeking a role that challenges you, develops your potential, and prepares you for low complexity portfolio management responsibilities. You’re confident, analytical, and client-focused, enjoying complex problem-solving and deepening client relationships.

Reporting to the Head of the London Office, this growth-focused opportunity suits a Senior Assistant or Associate Portfolio Manager transitioning to Junior level. You’ll work alongside an experienced Portfolio Manager, taking on more responsibility in managing client portfolios and contributing to investment decisions. You’ll deliver exceptional service and strengthen relationships with clients and Financial Planners.

This role allows you to take ownership and grow into a future Portfolio Manager. You’ll manage lower complexity client portfolios, generate revenue, and lead the client experience. Ensure all portfolios are updated and set up correctly while working efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in wealth management or investment management, ideally in an Assistant Portfolio Manager or Associate Portfolio Manager role
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management principles and client servicing
  • Completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
  • Progressing through CISI Level 6 Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside an experienced senior portfolio manager
  • Manage lower complexity client portfolios and generate revenue
  • Lead the client experience for allocated portfolios
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and Financial Planners
  • Strengthen relationships with clients and Financial Planners based in the London office
  • Contribute to investment decisions and support client experiences
  • Ensure all portfolios are updated and set up correctly
